The Battle for Wesnoth
October 2, 2005, marks the first time the NFL played a regular season game outside the United States when the Arizona Cardinals defeated the San Francisco 49ers 31-14 in Mexico City. It's also the day that David White and a team of eager coders made the initial release of The Battle for Wesnoth available to the viewing public.
The game itself is loosely based on the Sega Genesis classic Master of Monsters. Play is turn-based, across a hex map.
