A world record attempt has been launched today: starting at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time, the new Firefox 3 browser became available for downloading. And that's not all: the makers of Firefox are seeking to make their way into the Guinness Book of Records.
The Facebook social network has released part of its source code under the "Facebook Open Platform" label, including the F8 developer platform which was released one year ago.
The first release candidate of Firefox 3 sees the Mozilla developers well ahead of their original roadmap which envisaged a test version at the end of May.
