DigiKam 1.0.0 First Beta

Gilles Caulier has announced the first beta version of DigiKam with the magic number 1.0.0. Downloads are provided.

It was not so long ago in mid-March that Gilles Caulier of PlanetKDE announced DigiKam 0.10.0, the first KDE4 version of the photo management application. The newest first beta should lead quite rapidly to version 1.0.0. Meanwhile, main DigiKam developer Caulier has fixed more than 100 bugs and introduced many new features. Among them:

  • Batch Queue Manager
  • First run assistant
  • Dialog for database statistics
  • Support for PGF wavelets image files
  • Overlay button to perform lossless rotations
  • History of camera actions processed

DigiKam 1.0.0 Beta1 sources are available on SourceForge. A first version for Windows should follow soon. Details on fixed bugs are on the DigiKam homepage.
